A world-class teaching and learning centre for a new suburban environment.
Developed on a green-field site within the Brimbank Gardens Development in Melbourne’s western suburbs, the architectural vision was driven by inspirational education design responding to time, place, philosophy and context.
The school’s journey to becoming a vibrant, sustainable and authentic learning community began with the creed that “It takes a whole village to raise a child”. Families and community are important learning partners in creating an authentic 21 century learning environment that is inclusive, connected, socially just and achieving of excellence. The design of the school facilities was informed by a deep understanding of this education paradigm, transferring it into buildings that encourage and support profound learning, and relating the facilities to their community context and their specific site and environment conditions. The design represents modern interpretations of the 21st century school model in combination with exemplary sustainable design principles.
