Hilltops Young High School Library Awarded in the Country Division Architecture Awards

Hayball is grateful to have received two awards and a commendation for the project Hilltops Young High School Library at the recent Country Division Architecture Awards.

  • Award in the Public Architecture Category
  • Commendation in the Heritage Category

Connecting deeply to Wiradjuri Country and the project’s historic setting, the Hilltops Young High School Library is an integrated joint-use facility enabling whole-of-life learning for the community of Hilltops. Diverse facilities comprise a vast collection of library books including children’s, Wiradjuri learning centre and extensive community facilities such as an art gallery, wellbeing consulting, tertiary study centre, presentation space, creative arts, multimedia and maker spaces and a café.

The Country Division Architecture Awards Jury commented:

Hilltops Young High School Library demonstrates how meaningful engagement with community and consultants can lead to an excellent example of a truly integrated public facility for students and the wider community.’’
