The winners of Australia’s peak international design awards were announced today during the 2021 Good Design Awards Week. The Good Design Awards are the highest honour for design and innovation in the country and reward projects across 12 design disciplines.
We are pleased to share that Hayball’s Avenue Rise Apartments received a prestigious Good Design Award Winner Accolade in the Architectural Design category in recognition for outstanding design and innovation.
Australian Good Design Award demonstrate excellence in professional design and highlight the impact a design-led approach has on business success and social and environmental outcomes.
The Good Design Awards Jury commented:
“Avenue Rise is a commendable solution to the provision of quality housing that allows people to live and age well in the comfort of not just a home but a community. The site planning and apartment configuration are a smart response to intensification within established leafy blue-chip suburbs — a key area of contention in both Australia and NZ. The spaces are well considered and connect well with their external environment, all at a sensible semi-boutique scale. The design has a timeless quality that will see it endure over time.”
Avenue rise comprises eleven spacious apartments which include liveable design features to support aging in place. The design pre-empts the changing needs of occupants, fostering health and wellbeing.
