Hayball is pleased to announce the appointment of Erin Collins as Principal in the Sydney studio, joining Dave Tordoff and Kit Ku in leading our New South Wales operations.

Erin’s extensive experience managing complex, large-scale projects across various sectors will be invaluable in driving growth and innovation – in particular across multi-residential and mixed-use projects, precinctual masterplanning, and emerging sub-sectors including build-to-rent and affordable housing.

Since joining Hayball in 2014, Erin has been a key contributor to major projects including the Ground Lease Model 2 developments in Port Melbourne and South Yarra, and innovative housing models such as Preston Crossing and the award-winning Trinity College student residences.

Beyond her project work, she is an active member of industry groups, including the Property Council of Australia (PCA), where she has been involved in mentorship programmes and supported the 500 Women in Property Sponsorship Programme. In 2023, Erin joined the PCA’s Social Infrastructure Committee, and has been appointed to the UDIA NSW Urban Renewal & Infill Committee for 2025, further establishing her industry influence.

“We are thrilled to have Erin join the Principal leadership team at Hayball,” said Dave Tordoff. “Her experience and dedication to advancing projects in key areas such as affordable housing and mixed-use precincts make her an ideal fit for our growing Sydney studio. Erin’s passion for the industry and mentorship will be a tremendous asset to the practice as we continue to innovate and drive impactful design.”

Erin’s appointment is a key part of Hayball’s strategic expansion in New South Wales, where the practice sees enormous potential for growth in sectors that address the evolving needs of communities and the built environment.
