Four new halls of residences by leading architects were opened at Monash University by the Governor of Victoria this month. Two are by Hayball in association with Richard Middleton Architects, delivering 500 self contained studio apartments at the university’s Clayton campus.
Opportunities to connect and socialise are at the heart of our scheme for the state-of-the-art student living precinct. Director David Tweedie said Hayball’s ambition was for students to feel truly connected and secure.
“We were conscious that a lot of students come to university from all over Australia and internationally too, so creating environments that facilitate social interaction and encourage communities to develop organically was at the forefront of our thinking,” he said.
