Authored by Hayball

Strengthening our project teams by promoting from within the practice, Hayball is delighted to announce three senior appointments.

Senior Associate:
Andrew Moulding (Melbourne)

Associate:
Marissa Cavalchini (Melbourne)
Robert Mosca (Brisbane)

Celebrating the appointments with all staff at a cocktail event in Melbourne, managing director Tom Jordan said the ability to recognise and nurture future leaders is one of the key factors in the Hayball’s continued success.

“We focus on attracting the best talent and involving them in projects that stretch their skills and knowledge, and inspire their confidence. I’m very proud of how the practice continues to renew by supporting staff to move into leadership roles — passionate designers whose broader contribution to the practice is their spirit of collaboration and engagement with the business of our clients.”

With excellent design skills matched by in-depth technical knowledge of building techniques and materials, his strong interests in high rise design and prefabricated building components find expression in projects such as the 62-storey Empire Apartments. Andrew originally joined us as an architect in 2008 and was promoted to Associate in 2013.

She is also experienced in large scale masterplanning and urban design for greenfield developments in Australia, China and the UAE, and has contributed to Hayball’s theoretical urban design research projects (Proposition 2065). Demonstrating clear development of project skills and expertise since joining us an emerging graduate in 2009, Marissa also works with design leaders internally to drive Hayball’s design process and culture.

Rob’s passion for innovative, intelligent and efficient design extends to an interest in developing technologies such as CLT which are shaping methods of designing and building.
